Context: Raiffeisen Group had a strategic co-operation with UNIQA since 2006. However, after 2019 the bancassurance partnership started to lose momentum due to lack of dedicated resources on RBI side. From UNIQA perspective it required urgent revitalization due to a growing number of challenges in the local co-operations.

Action: As Head of Distribution & Partner Management at UNIQA International, I led the renewal of the partnership. I convinced RBI management to appoint a combined task force, restarted joint regular visits and calls with local Raiffeisen and UNIQA teams. Together with RBI colleagues created a joint strategic Bancassurance framework, supported the alignment with senior RBI stakeholders and the communication to local Raiffeisen teams.

Result: The renewed partnership strengthened bancassurance operations across the different countries and laid the foundation for future joint initiatives. RBI has also appointed a new Bancassurance leader for the Group, the role that has not been filled since 2019.
